My cat was runover on monday, and there's a guy at work who keeps asking me if I've gotten a new one yet. every time he asks I get a feeling of sadness in my heart, I loved my kitty so, and he asks as though getting over her death and replacing her are so easy.
Well i've got news for you, sir... it's not. i wish i could say that to your face, you big jerk... but i don't want to be rude...

Another kitty awaits all the love you have to give, find a poor lonely kitten that is needing someone to save him or her, open your heart and let the new kitten or cat in, only then will your healing begin.

Unless you enjoy prolonged grief, consider your co-worker's suggestion. You can't have your beloved kitty back and a new kitten won't be the same as the old one, but you will love the new kitten and your life will be better for it.
